EP³ view V2.30
The new software version V2.3 contains major improvements in optical modelling. You now have access to all common dispersion functions and effective medium approaches. Special types of anisotropy are supported. Variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometry is possible. Parametric plots and multiple plots with two parameters are enabled. The mapping now delivers additional maps of uncertainty and mean square error together with the map of the resulting fit parameter. An intelligent filter removes the spikes of unmapped points in maps.

EP³View Kinetics Software 1.0
EP³View Kinetics Software 1.0 provides the tools for the complete recording, visualization and evaluation of time-resolved multi-channel ellipsometric measurements, e.g. for protein interaction kinetics on microarrays.
As an AddOn to the Nanofilm EP³View, Kinetics Software 1.0 imports all relevant data during measurements and allows extensive online and post-run analysis.

EP³-BAM Tools & Z-lift
As you probably know your EP³ already includes a Brewster Angle Microscope (BAM) for visualization of monolayers on liquid surfaces. In order to optimize the operation of your EP³ as a BAM we introduce our new software AddOn and Z-lift

Laser safety cabinet
The Laser safety cabinet serves two purposes in one. It protects the instrument from dust and air convection at the same time protecting the user from scattered laser light. The acrylic glas is colored to absorb the laser wavelength, still allowing visual control of the instrument.
The laser interlock closes a mechanical shutter if the doors are opened.

Apart from the standard recommended internal laser of 532nm for highly reflecting samples it is possible to equip the EP3 with different lasers.

Computer controlled x/y/z-stage
We offer a choice of precision x/y-stages. These high quality stages are computer controlled and allow automatic mapping of large samples.

Automatic sample alignment stage ALS
The ALS stage is a very useful device to conveniently align the sample to a horizontal position, which is critical for a precise measurement. The ALS is in particular useful if large samples are to be mapped automatically.

Beam Cutter
In case of measurements on transparent substrates (e.g. glass, mica, etc.) one part of the incident beam is reflected on the top side of the substrate, the other part of the beam is transmitted into the substrate, where it is reflected off of the bottom of the substrate. Thus, the image quality of the upper reflected beam is decreased when interference with the bottom reflected beam occurs. Nanofilm’s beam cutter can be put half into the beam, before the beam meets the sample, in order to generate a dark area where the bottom side reflected beam is cut off.

Vario antivibration isolation systems
We offer state-of-the-art active vibration isolation systems as accessory for our EP³. These modular systems electronically eliminate critical floor vibrations in sensitive experiments, for example at air/liquid interfaces. Recommended type is the halcyonics_variobasic40_100.

OptiSlides
The new OptiSlides from Nanofilm are especially designed glass slides with optimal optical properties for measurements of bio-relevant layers - e.g. proteins, DNA, lipids, etc. Their advanced optical properties enable ellipsometric measurements on glass substrates in liquid ambient conditions with the highest sensitivity.

EC-SPR cell
The electro chemical Kinetics / SPR cell is based on Nanofilm’s Kinetics / SPR cell with additional electrodes. Therefore, electrochemical and ellipsometrical sample evaluation can be done in parallel. The sample should be transparent and a conductive surface is required. By ellipsometrical examination an adsorption of organic material (e.g. proteins) on the sample’s surface can be recorded.
The materials of this cell are biocompatible and suited for water based liquids like salt solutions, buffers etc.

SL-cell for ellipsometry in liquid ambient
Many applications of Ellipsometry involve the liquid/solid interface, for example corrosion and adsorption processes.

EC-Solid liquid cell
The electro chemical solid liquid cell is especially designed for electro chemical measurements on a non-transparent sample in liquid ambient. The working electrode is on the sample surface. The materials of this cell are suited for water based liquids like salt solutions, buffers etc.

Liquid Handling
The liquid handling system consists of a valve unit, a peristaltic pump, tubings and a measuring chamber. It is especially designed for kinetic measurements in liquid ambient like protein-protein interactions with the EP³. All materials are biocompatible.

Peltier temperature control device
The peltier temperature control is a powerful tool. It can be ordered as option to the SL cell or Kinetics/SPR cell.
